1. John and I are currently here, and will be for the next 6 days!
Although I do have some recipe posts planned to share with you this week, I will also try to check in with a brief overview of what we’re up to here in Barbados.
2. As some of you may recall, I dealt with an incredibly frustrating snafu with the comments on my blog about a month ago. I thought I had the issue resolved, but much to my disappointment the problem surfaced once again.
To make a long story short, my blog had a ridiculous amount of SPAM comments, which were taking up too much room on my hosting site. I originally thought that I could manually delete all of the SPAM comments, but it proved to be taking way too long; thus the only resolution was to erase ALL comments on the blog. Yep. Every single comment.
I’m pretty torn up about the loss of each comment on every post. Feedback from you guys – my readers – is one of my main reasons for blogging, and I love reading comments from you. Please keep them coming!
3. I made this Spicy Chipotle Lentil & Sweet Potato Stew for today’s post on The Back Burner, as the assignment was to make a recipe “for a rainy day”.
Although decidedly neither tropical nor appropriate for 80+ degrees, this stew is perfect for the wintery weather we left behind in Boston.
Spicy, smoky, hearty, and comforting, this vegan stew is my idea of the perfect meal on a cold & dreary day… which I’m sure we’ll be coming back to in New England.
I think I’ll have to make a double batch when we get home!
