1. Hello and (belated) Happy New Year! It’s been a while since I posted a new recipe, but we traveled through the holidays and a pesky sinus infection has been wreaking havoc on my taste buds; thus I have not been cooking much. John stepped up to the plate and made both chicken fingers and meatballs this weekend; they are just two of his ever-increasing arsenal of specialities, and I’m holding on to leftovers for when I can actually taste food again!


2. Our family and friends were super generous with Christmas gifts, but the highlight was this beauty from my amazing husband:


SUPER awesome! I plan to share some recipes using the Vitamix with you as soon as I’m back in the kitchen.


3. Lily just had her second birthday, which is crazy. I know, I know it’s a cliche, but how is my baby a 2 year old already?! Life with a toddler isn’t always rainbows and unicorns, but I love this little girl so incredibly much.
